코윈 벤쿠버지부는 대한민국 여성 가족부산하 세계 한민족 여성네트워크(Korean Women’s International Network)의 캐나다 지회 멤버로 2011년에 창립되어, 광역 벤쿠버 거주 한민족 전문직 여성들의 네트워크 구심점 역할을 하고 있습니다. 또한, 캐나다 한인 사회 및 전세계 한민족 여성들과의 연대를 강화하여, 다문화 국가인 캐나다에서 한인 여성들과의 교류 활성화에 노력을 기울이고 있습니다.
Established by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2011, KOWIN (Korea Women’s International Network) is for promoting exchange between Korean women within the local chapters worldwide. KOWIN Vancouver has become the center for networking among Korean professional women living in the Greater Vancouver. It has also been serving to actively seek out leaders of the next generation. KOWIN Vancouver engages in cultural exchanges with other communities in Canada’s multicultural society.
